"I have always enjoyed working with children and spent ten years as a primary teacher before becoming a full time mom. When my son attended Small Friends, I loved volunteering in his classroom. It was there that I discovered how delightful preschoolers are. In fact, working with his teachers and classmates was so rewarding that when the opportunity arose for me to join the staff, I jumped at the chance. I thoroughly enjoy this job and look forward to being part of the Small Friends community for a long time!"Lisa Sickler, Director

"I began teaching at the elementary level where I taught for 11 years in grades 3 through 6. After having my own children, I discovered the joys of early childhood and have taught preschool ever since. This will be my 15th year at Small Friends. Teaching preschool allows me to share all of my passions with others as well as having the joy of being with young children."Sydney Stocks

"I am starting my twelth year of teaching. I have always loved small children and when my daughter went to a co-op preschool, I discovered a passion with threes and fours. I went back to college and have been teaching since. Small Friends is my dream job. I love the staff, the children, and interacting with the parents."Marah Murphy

"I came to Small Friends Preschool 11 years ago as an anxious parent when my daughter started her preschool experience. Six years later and three children moving on to "big" school, I had the wonderful opportunity to stay on as a teacher. I am into my fourth year of teaching at Small friends and it really does feel like home. I find each child so unique and marvel at the amount of growth each year as I watch and learn from each one. I am so thankful for my role as a teacher where I can form these unforgettable relationships and be part of so much joy and happiness."Sue Gregoire

"I came to Small Friends 13 years ago as a young parent with my oldest daughter. We were enrolled for 6 continuous years with our three girls. Even once the girls had moved on, Small Friends remained part of our lives - coming back to visit was always a highlight. The past year has been wonderful – I enjoy being the registrar and love teaching. Children see the world in such individual ways and it is terrific be able to take a glimpse into that world each day."Willemijn Ilcisin, Registrar/ Teacher
